Before You Apply
Things to know before applying…
- ChiArts is a rigorous program and requires a demanding schedule. The school day begins at 8 am and ends at 5 pm. After 5 pm there are occasional rehearsals and homework. Time management and a serious dedication to arts and academics are required for students to be successful at ChiArts.
- Students may not switch majors once accepted into the program. Students should only apply to a program if they are committed to serious training in that specific arts area. All students must follow the scope and sequence prescribed for the arts area. Custom schedules will not be created for individual students.
- When a student commits to ChiArts- ChiArts becomes their priority. Please see the individual arts department’s policies concerning non-ChiArts activities. The school day ends at 5pm. Students may not leave before 5 pm to attend other activities without specific, written permission from the Principal’s office.
