Application Timeline

September-November 2012: Backstage Passes at ChiArts. These sessions are similar to open houses and give you an idea of what it's like to study at ChiArts. Meet faculty and admissions representative, watch student performances, and learn the real definition of "scholar-artist." Watch this space for registration information, which will be released over the summer.

October 1, 2012: ChiArts application is avalable online. Early application is encouraged. Be sure to include complete, current contact information (email is highly preferred) so that we may notify you of results.

October-December 2012: You should be preparing for your audition and arranging for your academic materials to be sent to ChiArts. All materials are due before the application deadline.

November 2013: Auditions for transfer students to enter in January 2013

December 14, 2012: Application Deadline

January 18, 2013: Audition invitations will be sent by this date. Students who do not meet the minimum requirements will also be contacted by January 18.

January-February 2013: Auditions for freshman. Auditions tend to be on Saturdays, with appointments lasting 1-2 hours.

February 2013: Callback auditions: some arts areas may require a second audition. Applicants will be notified at leat one week before callbacks, which will also be on Saturdays and last 1-2 hours.

March 1, 2013: Admission letters sent. 

March 2013, varying dates: Admission responses due.
